Peer Review Policy

Vijayapur Journal of Medical Research follows a double-blind peer review process to ensure the integrity, quality, and transparency of all published research.

1. Peer Review Process

  • All manuscripts submitted to the journal undergo initial editorial screening to assess relevance, structure, and adherence to submission guidelines.

  • If deemed suitable, manuscripts are sent to two or more independent reviewers with expertise in the relevant field.

  • Double-blind review: Authors and reviewers are not aware of each other's identities.

  • Reviewers evaluate the manuscript’s:

    • Originality

    • Scientific validity

    • Methodological soundness

    • Ethical standards

    • Clarity and significance

2. Reviewer Selection

  • Reviewers are selected from our editorial board or external pool based on subject matter expertise.

  • Reviewers are expected to provide their comments within 2 to 4 weeks.

3. Decision Outcomes

  • Accept

  • Minor Revision

  • Major Revision

  • Reject

Authors are informed of the decision along with reviewer comments and are required to submit revised versions accordingly.

4. Plagiarism & Ethics

  • All submissions are screened using plagiarism detection tools.

  • The journal follows ICMJE and COPE guidelines for publication ethics.

5. Final Decision

  • The final decision rests with the Editor-in-Chief, considering reviewers’ feedback and editorial evaluation.
