Submission Guideline

Submission Guidelines

Authors wishing to submit their work to the Vindhya Journal of Medical Research must follow the instructions outlined below to ensure timely processing and peer review. Submissions that do not conform to these guidelines may be returned to the authors for correction before further consideration.

All manuscripts must be submitted through the official journal website via the online submission system. Authors are required to register as users on the platform, after which they will receive access to the manuscript submission portal. The submission process involves several steps, including uploading the manuscript file, figures, and supplementary materials, and providing metadata such as the title, abstract, keywords, and author information.

At the time of submission, authors must also upload a signed covering letter addressed to the Editor-in-Chief. This letter should confirm that the manuscript is original, has not been published previously, is not under consideration elsewhere, and complies with all ethical and submission standards of the journal. Any conflicts of interest, funding sources, and ethics committee approvals should also be disclosed in the cover letter.

Manuscripts must be prepared in accordance with the Author Guidelines provided by the journal. Submissions must be in Microsoft Word format and clearly structured with appropriate headings and subheadings. The text should be double-spaced with 1-inch margins on all sides, using Times New Roman font, size 12. Figures and tables should be included at the end of the manuscript file and also uploaded separately in high-resolution formats.

Authors are encouraged to carefully proofread their manuscripts for grammatical and typographical errors before submission. Poor language quality may delay the review process or lead to rejection. If necessary, authors may consider using professional English language editing services prior to submission.

After submission, the manuscript will undergo an initial technical check to ensure completeness and adherence to journal policies. If acceptable, the manuscript will proceed to editorial screening and then to peer review. Authors will be notified via email at each stage of the review process. The average time from submission to first decision is approximately 4 to 6 weeks, depending on the availability of reviewers and the complexity of the subject matter.

Upon acceptance, the authors will receive galley proofs for final review. Only minor corrections are permitted at this stage. Once approved, the article will be scheduled for publication in the next available issue and will be made available online as part of the journal’s open-access publishing model.

The journal does not currently charge any submission or publication fees unless otherwise specified on the journal website. Any future updates regarding processing charges or print fees will be communicated clearly on the journal’s announcements page.

All correspondence related to manuscript submission, revision, and publication will be conducted via the official journal email or through the submission portal. Authors are requested to ensure that their contact details are accurate and up to date to avoid communication delays.

For further information or clarification on the submission process, authors may refer to the FAQ section on the journal website or contact the editorial office directly.
